Welcome to the forum.
Can you tell us what you are feeding now? Treats can be things like sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, porridge oats (gluten free if possible), hazelnuts (either in the shell or not, but in the shell is more fun), flaked peas. There are many more and I'm sure others will weigh in with their recommendations.

To be honest, my degus like science selective pellets so much I use them as treats. (I was given an opened bag from the old foster family because they used to feed them that brand before it was deemed unhealthy (?)) Otherwise, it really depends on the degus' tastes. Dandelion roots work very well as treats, but they often some in very big size. I tend to give two seeds per day max, because I give them a full nut monthly. Once in a while they have some oats because I bought like 20 g a long while ago. I also had some dried vegetables (like cauliflower, zucchini, carrots, Jerusalem Artichoke, spinach, cabbage) I dried myself. These I often reach for but I try to limit the sweetest ones (I kinda leave them in one spot and forget they exist once in a while). Honestly, my degus are very picky about the forage mix (like herbs, leaves, etc.) but overall, I feel like anything can be used as a treat. It's really dependent on what you want to do with your degus. When I try to get them to learn something or get used to being handled (I'm currently trying to them get comfortable laying against my stomach so I can try to file their nails), I take the tastier treats (croks, meadow loops, carrots) because sometimes they will just scoff in a "it's not worth the effort". When it's for interaction, I sometimes even just offer them their regular pellet. They're just that food driven.
