Hello, My Degu who i have had for a couple months died. My step dad bought my daughter a larger cage someone was selling, we sprayed it down and left it out in the sun to dry for a day. Late last night we brought it in set it up and then put her in it. She was so happy!! this morning she was running around but i just walked in the room and found her dead i do not know what happened her teeth were sticking out a bit but nothing unusual.

I am so very sorry!
Whatever happened it sounds like it was very quick so I doubt very much if it was anything you either did or if there was anything you could have done.
We have known sudden deaths before so although uncommon, its not unheard of.
How old was she? What was her name?

Oh, I'm very sorry to hear that! This sounds like a total freak occurrence. I don't think it was the cage. It sounds like you did just right with that, and I really doubt any kind of dirt or chemical would have caused something this drastic and quick, in any case. As Savvy says, it really does sound like a sudden death. Probably, only a vet could inform you about what exactly happened, and it's likely not going to do much good.
The only thing that even comes to mind is that if the cage is very tall and there was a lot of freewall to a hard surface, she could have fallen. But even that doesn't sound quite right.
In any case, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. If you have any questions or want to talk about it, people here will gladly help and listen.

I'm sorry!
I had one goo who was happily running around at lunchtime, 4pm, and 6pm. A couple of hours later when I opened up the cage doors for free-range, only two of three came out. My third goo had died in the meantime. It's just one of those things:(
