So, I got these super crunchy treats for my rabbits... after getting my 2 Goos, I let them try them out. They're obsessed... it's like crack to them. And they chew on them for a while, since they're so hard and compressed. I break off a tiny little piece to give as a handling treat. usually no larger than a few mm. The company says there's no additives, and I tried to chew on them... just to see if I could taste ANY sweetness, and nothing. just vegi taste. So I'd think they're safe for Degus. They say they're made of the following on amazon, of which I've read each is safe for degus, though in varying quantities: Carrot, Timothy Hay, Purple Potato, Pumpkin, Beetroot, Spinach Thoughts on these? how often to feed? www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09QPBSLB6/

They contain a lot of vegetable sugar so I'd limit them very severely.

Yeah, as Savvy says. Taste, unfortunately, is not always a good indicator of sugar content. None of those contents are dangerous to degus as such (not poisonous or anything), but they're way too rich as regular treats. I would offer them only in very small amounts as a very special treat. Not even weekly or bi-weekly, really. Degus are really vulnerable to sugar, unfortunately, so any regular sugar intake can be very bad for them in the long run.
