So after coco passed away we moved the girls into one cage. So the other cage was catching dust for nearly 3 year so today I decided to take it outside and clean it well with hose pipe and there cleaning spray. But now I noticed the hot water smells like chlorine and I washed the cage with the hot water and I was gonna move them into it cos the other one is rusting etc, will it be safe, im freaking out

There's an element of chlorine used in water treatment anyway. Having it splashed around into a mist mixed with their cleaner makes it easier to smell.

Just make sure you rinse it off and it will be fine. When you use cleaning sprays doing general cage cleaning, I think it's best to rinse off your cloth and wipe away the spray residue with clean water.

leave it out in the sun for a day, and any residual chlorine from the water will just evaporate away. No problem.
