Hello everyone! I have really enjoyed reading and learning all I can about degu care. I couldn't find any information on my specific question 😊. Are gerbera daisies (Gerbera jamesonii) safe? I have a large plant I would love to dry for my girls. I have also been harvesting leaves and flowers from my hibiscus tree. It's going to die off soon as it's fall in Canada. Can I harvest the entire tree including the wood and roots? The braided trunk would make a wonderful perch of its safe. Thank you so much for your help!

Yes, Gerbera seem to be safe, they aren't toxic to dogs, cats or horses and seem to be reported safe for guinea pigs, so I'd be fairly happy to try those.
Leaves, flowers and above ground wood of hibiscus is safe. I can't find anything specific about the roots, but I can't find any reason it wouldn't be safe.

Degupedia suggests that hibiscus could be problematic, depending on the type, but doesn't specify.
