I ordered some original Shreddies as a treat for the girls.
Its a cereal I'm not that familiar with so I'm not sure if I'm right or not, but I always remember shreddies, and shredded wheat being advertised as being nothing but wheat. However, I've looked at the ingredients in the box I've got and ingredient no.1 is wheat, but ingredient no.2 is sugar, while no.4 is molasses. Have they changed it? Surely the original shreddies were never that sweet.
Suffice to say, I won't be giving them to the degus.

I think Shreddies were always sweetened, it's shredded wheat or bitesize shredded wheat that aren't (but check the packet).

I don't remember them being sweet? To me, they were always one of those boring cereals (as a kid)

They were sweetened but still boring and not very appealing, probably not sweetened as much as Frosties etc.
