Okay, i don't think anyone on this post has written this type of thread, but here I am.
My degus absolutely love jumping, not climbing, but jumping trough hands or other objects, they jump quite high!
So due to this, I am planning on creating some jumps(like for dogs, horses) about a hand high or a bit higher, you know.
The problem is, i have no idea what material to build those small jumps. (p.s they are not gonna be in cage, they're gonna be at the playground with me supervising so they won't chew on it) I tried with pencils, but no luck, i can build some very very small jumps, but they hold really badly (i tried glueing too but didnt hold) I need something to hold in place tightly, it can be glued or somehow attached. I need your creative ideas to think of any products i can use.
Early THANKS! <3

Do you mean that you want some sort of hoops that the degus can jump through, or would small fences to jump over be enough? You could probably take small cardboard boxes and use them for obstacles, for one. Maybe glue a couple of toilet rolls together so they'll form a triangle shape that'll stay up (so glue two carboard tubes together side by side and then add a third one next to them). An easy one would be to take a few sheets of paper and fold them into triangle shapes and secure them with a bit of tape. You can place them aroung the play area and see how they like them. They won't last long, but the degus would probably have fun with them

If they won't chew on it, pipe cleaners?

We used a large cardboard box to build a deep walled maze for our degus . . . but it wasn't deep enough, and they just jumped over things and then walked on top of the edges. They rather enjoyed doing that!
And then they ripped it to shreds!!

I think there's some out there for rabbits. There's also a YouTube video of someone that's done it too.

You need to use a third party host to store your pictures and then post the bbcode link (or similar).
