???I'm really confused. I've had my degus for 4 years now and I've only just realised that one has got a crooked tooth. They're all orange though. Is this ok? Its just one's longer than the other. Sorry If I'm wasting your time.

hmm, they should be wearing evenly, maybe watch him when he eats to see if he favors one side of his mouth? that might indicate a tooth problem.

Oh, if there IS an problem, what should I do? My mum won't let me take them to the vet cause it would cost too much money, because they're so small. I really don't want him to be in pain! ><' If anyone has any help, can you tell me? Thanks!

Keep an eye that he is eating. when you have him out to cuddle, see if you can have a look at his teeth. check his mouth isnt sore. offer wood treats to chew, if you think you have a problem with him and cost is a problem, you can visit the PDSA for free. In general a vet visit to any vet should cost about £10 for just a consultation, treatment of over grown teeth usually involves a wiff of gas before the teath are burred down. This would cost about £20. I know this having had Jerds who went monthly to have her teeth trimmed, and Dougal having had it done just last month. Good luck.

If I was you I would check out the degu first, if you really have concerns and think the degu needs to go to a vet, try the tact that its cruel to keep an animal from getting the care it needs. Phone a PDSA and see if they would see you free of charge.

Its cool. I managed to sort her out. We're keeping an eye on him and handling him lot to make sure he knows we're here. He seems to be grinding his teeth a lot. ^^ We are hopeful...
