Hi, my goo's hay comes with a few (very little) flowers mixed in I was wondering whether this is healthy for them or not. Thankyou

It should be fine! Most flowers are edible for degus, and they actually quite enjoy them! Have you been using this particular hay product for a while? If so, and you haven't noticed any changes in health or behavior, then you have proof it is certainly not harming them, and is safe for their consumption.

Hi deguconvert, I have been using the hay for a few months now and havent noticed any change. The goo's seem to love it anyway!👍

Flowers can be part of a regular diet! If you grow any your own without pesticides, check the safe list and watch them devour them fresh! My mum gives me various parts of her garden every couple of weeks, but she does accidentally also supply the odd caterpillar! And yes, that's the car seat lol

Was talking to a friend the other night, someone gave her a cabbage from their allotment and advised her to stand it in water to keep it fresh for longer. She got up the next morning to find three snails crawling up her kitchen walls. She relocated them to the garden.
Gotta love organic, lol!
