Mine have two 5 liter plastic water bottles, with chinchilla sand in and an old tin waste paper bin with hay in it. I use floor the cage with 2-3 inches of sawdust, that is where they do most of their digging.

Hi guys.
I have a converted ceramic plant hanging container that has a convenient fully enclosed bowl bar for the opening. this I fill with chinchilla sand. They roll in it, dig it all out and love it.
By the way, I notice both of you are not displaying a location in your profile. Please amend this.
thanks
