So im looking for some new yummy foods for my harry, as he needs a new diet. Ive seen a lot of people talk about ratrations on here so am thinking of ordering from them as they can deliver to me and wondered if they were any good? I was thinking of ordering the Degu Seed Mix ratrations.co.uk/food/degu/degu-seed-mixture and the premium flower mix ratrations.co.uk/food/degu/premium-flower-mixHas anyone tried these? Also what dried flowers can degu's have and at what quantity? Many Thanks

Ratrations are brilliant, but that's just my opinion, lol. Their degu seed mix is really good and they should have about half a teaspoon per degu per day. I use their blossom mix ratrations.co.uk/herb-garden---blossom-mixture?search=Blossom mix which goes down really well with my guys. They also do a range of really good herbs and leaves as well such as dandelion, plantain, apple leaves, raspberry leaves, blackberry leaves, rose petels, etc.

It's definitely worth trying the seed mix and a selection of the forage herb and leaf mixes that Savvy mentions.
Zooplus can be worth a try too, they do 'garden herbs', dandelion, ribwort and green oat forage bags that are good value, and they have some different pellets and hays too.

Mine have never complained, lol.
If you speak to them, they can recommend other herbs, flowers etc to you.

Just a caution for you, the changes you want to make are awesome, just don't do them too quickly. Your degus gut needs time to develop the right bacteria mix for digesting the new foods you will be introducing, so give in small amounts, adding the little bit of new to the regular old foods. Very gradually increase the new and little by little you will have him eating a fuller and more varied diet that he will not have an adverse reaction to. Adverse is not indicating that the food is bad for him, just that his gut cannot digest it well until he has the right bacteria growing in his gut to break it down and absorb it, rather than it come out as diarrhea.
