I came across a facebook post about red squirrels this week saying how they had noticed a squirrel that was left handed and that that was unusual.
I was just wondering if anyone had noticed this about their degus?
Apparently you can tell which is which because they hold or support the food with the off hand and manipulate the food with the dominant hand.

That is REALLY interesting!! Hmmm!! I think I must have had a group of lefty's then, because as I recall . . . most of them help their food items in the right hand.

I think I have particularly uncivilized groups--its either face first or both hands. Though the pups tend to stabilize themselves using their right hands.
