Hi everyone!
The appearance of the forum hasn't changed in a while (unless you regularly change the theme you view it with).
Following a suggestion made, we're looking at using different icons for the folders you see running down the left side of the main page, and here's where you can help!
We're asking you guys to use your arty skills to design the icons for EACH board within Degu Information, Chinchilla Information, Degu Chat, and the adoption board. For example, you may like to draw a degu in a house for Cages, Housing, and Accessories.
You have until 10 May to submit entries. You may decide to submit just one folder icon, just degu ones, just chinchilla ones......the choice is yours!

TIPS:
* Keep it simple - remember your artwork will be shrunken down to a similar size to the existing file icons
* Try to create something that represents the folder you're drawing for
* Black and white or colour are fine. Again, think about how it would look if made smaller
* This will be something viewed by everyone who comes onto the forum!

What size will they be scaled down to? Might be easier to just do someting in the correct size to start with

I've been enjoying it immensely! I'm actually using a digital art tablet that we had bought for my daughter several years back, but she seldom uses it. In fact it had sat unused for probably the last two years. So I asked if I can use it. It's been a technical challenge!! LOL! But, go figure, I'm learning some things. The more I use it, the more I love it, and the better I get. Still not getting the same settings with each new project, as you can see from the above pics. Haven't mastered that . . . in fact . . . I'm not even sure if I know what I'm doing while I am selecting sizes and such! Once I start the drawing, I forget all about the settings I just fought with, and just hope it comes out well!
The ONE thing that is abundantly clear after all the hours sat doing the drawings . . . the computer chair SUCKS!!

JUST want to say, I've been using actual photos to be a template, so I'm cheating in order to create what you see above. Genuine artwork would be great, so please all you awesome artists . . . put in your work!!

I have a question . . . these images . . . are they for each different board? Or just for the different main areas? Because we have 32 boards. We need a lot of submissions!!

I think we should keep it limited.
We did a logo competition once that we didn't do anything with, I wonder if any of those entries would be suitable?

I know 3D and Photoshop and digital/traditional art and a bit photography .. I am making a 3D Degu head..could be useful for logo maybe? I may model the whole body too.. xD see where it goes..  |
