Give it a good handful of days. Sometimes they are just taking their time to decide if they are going to make a fuss or let is pass.

Hahaha, such a true statement. I'll keep a close eye on them this weekend!

They're probably having secret conferences when you're not looking

Haha, wouldn't surprise me! They've been been decent enough today as well! Little bit of annoyed noises from Newt, but Pickett is super chill

Perhaps Pickett started moving the nest, and Newt was telling him to stop disturbing his sleep and to wait until morning!

Pickett seemed a little off last night and this morning. Hes been pretty tired (falling asleep while eating) and very docile. This could possibly be because he would normally be asleep during these times. He keeps shaking his head though. I've attached a video (sorry for poor quality). Should I take him in? Hes currently curled up in a place he wouldn't normally sleep. I didn't hear any crackling in his lungs, and hes eating fine as well. Hopefully I'm over reacting? youtu.be/2-3WHgXim1o

I'm late getting on . . . how is Pickett doing, Hpdegus? He looks like he is either in pain and/or feeling poorly in the video. I hope he is OK?

He apparently has ear infections in both ears, poor babe. So hes miserable. But they gave me ear drops, so hopefully itll clear up before too long. He was a superstar at the vet though.
Honestly, so so relieved. I was afraid it was the same situation as Fred and George. The vet told me he was worried when he saw my name down for an appt!

Get well soon, Pickett. Do you have some painkiller already that you could give him?

Poor little love! BOTH ears!! That just has to hurt so bad! No wonder he was looking so uncomfortable. I wonder if chewing is painful. So, SOOO glad you got him in, Hpdegus!

I do have Metacam already, Molette. I just called the vets. They say it's fine to give him some.
I know, DC! Poor little guy was lying on his heat pad earlier, just meeping. I have seen him eat, but it cant have been comfortable. I'm really glad too! I was impressed that they were able to fit me in so quickly.

youtu.be/S_6wK9p6ET0I've given him metacam. Hes whimpering constantly though. Any idea on how long pain meds take to kick in? This is horrible to watch. I hope I wasn't told late.

I would think oral metacam should work in less than 1 hour. How much did you give him? You can give him up to 0.3ml cat strength or 0.1ml dog strength. You could offer him some soft food too if he hasn't had much to eat or drink.
Does he have any medical history relevant to ear infections? Teeth? Does both ears at once sound a bit unusual?

It would have been the 0.1 at dog strength. Seems like it kicked in. Hes not whimpering anymore.
I was carrying him around the house in a towel with me, feeding him rice puffs. I'll try recovery food later tonight, but he turned down peanut butter.
One thing that has changed since this morning, is hes twitching every few seconds. He does seem to moving a bit better, and hes relaxing on the heat pad now.
He doesnt have any other medical conditions that I know of. Hes only 9 months old. I mean, I've had ear infections in both ears at once, but I'm weird:)
