Ant tips for the babies and getting them used to me? I mean they're not old enough for treats so I'm kind of at a loss. I dont want to just force it and pick them up to sex them, I dont want toterrorize the little things. None of them are going into the jar I have set in there to sex them:(

Start offering them the things you give for treats. Sunflower seeds, unsweetened porridge oats, plain rice crispies, tiny pieces of nuts like almond, pecan, hazelnut, walnut, peanut, brazilnut . . . but seriously tiny . . . like half the size of a piece of rice crispie. Take note of the ones they are most infatuated with and then use more to start hand training them. Yes, you are playing to their tummy, but it is very helpful to have them hand trained, AND just make sure you don't give too many at any given time. If you can do 2-4 short, hand-training sessions each day, and you know which treat each one finds irresistible, you;ll have them coming to you and clamoring for your attention in no time.

I sat every evening with the cage door open and my arm inside the cage. I also cleaned the bedding a bit so that my hands smelt of mum and the pups. They were curious and watched as mum came to accept treats and slowly came closer. The two male pups were much braver and first to approach. The secret is to keep still and they eventually walk over you as if you are part of the cage, but if you moved they would all flee. They also slowly got used to our voices and noises of moving around. They are 4 1/2 weeks now and can be picked up if you are slow. When we open the cage they climb onto our hands to be lifted out to the floor. You just need to spend time with them so you become a familiar figure in the background. When out in the room they just run all over us as mum does.

Just wanted to hop back on and update everyone!
We have separated the babies and mom/dad. We ended up having three baby boys, and two girls!

So . . . females one cage, and males in the second? What cage did you get for a second? How big are both cages (I don't remember if you told us, and reading through this thread I didn't find it)?

Yes, females in one and males in the other. The females are in the critter nation with the half level added back in. The boys are in a 55 gallon aquarium at the moment with a mesh lid, out of direct light. I know it's far from ideal right now but I think they'll be alright for a little longer

Sounds like you have an alternative to the aquarium in the works?
