I'm actually worried Ella is also pregnant now she climbed the side of the cage before and clear on show on a really chubby all of a sudden belly are her nipples clearly sticking out. Looks like Brain was a busy boy

Brain! You naughty boy! Lol.
Sounds like he was making the most of it before his bits were removed.
If she is, don't worry too much, degus all help in the rearing of their young, and at least he can't do it again.

I was ok with one because if a small litter we'd of kept them all but 2 litters agghh. We do have 2 spare cages so it's not too much of a worry but still so many degus

Until they're born, there's no way of telling how many pups there will be. Litter sizes can range from 1 to 9, 4 is about average, so if they are both on the small end of that scale, that's not so many to deal with, if on the other hand.....
You can advertise any you feel you can't keep in our adoption section when the time comes. So that may help.
But no matter how many they have, we want photos, lol!

I know! What would the CARA be for 23 degus? It would be a true degu palace, but I can imagine the noise from all the toys, wheels, water bottles and degu chat would be a little bit too much haha imagine the degu pile though

Probably best to move into the cage and give the house to the degus, lol.

Haha I've just said to my boyfriend I don't know how I'm going to part with any of them we'll end up with 100s of animals haha. As soon as I'm able to I'll be separating any boys into another cage. Ella is the only one making a nest sweeps is just sleeping in it and letting her do all the hard work

Male pups can be separated at seven weeks of age. You definitely want to do that, because even though Brain is not able, the male pups will be somewhere between the 8-10 weeks of age mark.
I've been there, with two pregnant females, and the pups are AMAZING!! You will thoroughly enjoy them. Just be prepared though, they eat like they have Tardis shaped stomachs!!

Are you guys trying to scare her?? Just give the goos your spare room, add some mezzanine floors, and you have your new goo enclosure! Just need to be absolutely certain that the male/female divide is 100% secure this time - perhaps a solid brick wall
