I'm making david go in with him on Thursday don't think I'll be able to handle seeing him getting his teeth done. Just glad they do it while they are awake. My dad said the photo makes him look like a walrus 🤣

Just as long as he doesn't start making "arr arr arr" calls and slapping his front paws together when he wants feeding!

Hopefully it's just a one off incident and the trim will solve it, they are certainly a nice healthy colour

Yes hopefully. I wouldn't want to stress him in his old age. Just glad he loves a cuddle so is happy being held

Did the vet say how bad the teeth are? Or discuss the future?
I'm wondering if there will come a point when you need to risk doing the sedation and dental for quality of life reasons?

It wasn't an exotic vet so we'll do what the vet has said and have him on anti inflammatory meds for 7 day then take him back to the exotic vet then

I had said to the receptionist that I was happy to wait until exotic vets where available but they told me to bring him in. I personally think the vet was scared of degu bites.

I suspect an exotics vet would have just got on with it! Spidey had his done today, and he's back in rude health

Brain is pleased to announce that we have a little baby on the way. He's been doing great eating and drinking his teeth are still long and walrus like but while he's eating still they can't be affecting him.

Brain can't put any weight on his back leg leg and is dragging it around. I've called rutland House vets for an appointment and they don't have any available. He's really struggling and I'm feeling like no one can help him

I've moved him to a travel cage so no chance of him falling
