Hi,
We've had our degu sisters just a few days , and they are about 8 weeks old.
One of them seems a bit fluffed up, and is being quite vocal, making a screech sort of noise, not the sweet chattering that the other is doing.
Any ideas? could she be unwell?
Thanks for any advice.

I can't be sure but I would guess that she is annoyed rather than unwell. Unwell degus rarely make any noise, they go hunched in a corner, lethargic, not wanting to eat or move. Being fluffed up can be sign of being cold or unwell, but that would likely be in combination with the other things I described. A steady, intermittent squeak could be an alarm call or a post mating domincance call, depending on whether the degu is watchful and wary or looking pleased with themselves, or possibly trying to get your attention. Hello Straw, and welcome to the forum! Moletteuk has directed you as I would. How long has she been acting like this? Since bringing her home?
