Cats & dogs also carry Pasteurella asymptomatically. Cattle, sheep & birds get it too, but they tend to develop pneumonia like chins, degus & rabbits do. I'd be more worried about Bordetella as it's more prevalent. Both these are zoonotic btw. Most studies are old ones from commercial rabbitries, so I have my doubts about hygiene practices & vet treatment skewing the over all figures, but here's a good study I came across a few years ago. pubmedcentralcanada.ca/pmcc/articles/PMC269539/pdf/jcm00049-0090.pdf
