Wanted a couple of degus, preferably 2brothers or 2sisters. Age unimportant as we want to give them forever home. After three of our pet rats died ealier this year we decided to rehome degus. We can travel within a reasonable distance. We live in Swindon, Wiltshire

Welcome to the forum mark1702.
I hope this forum will help you find a couple of degus to adopt. Have you checked your local rescue/animal shelter?

Don't rule out trios, you may see a fuller range of social behaviour and less likely to have to do introductions if you start with 3.

Trios are best imho too moley. I find the duos have a much harder time when they lose their friend, 3 means there's usually 2 left. I like a trio or quad for most of my critters if I can I know it's not exactly near, but if you don't mind a couple hours drive Notts Nibblers rescue is awesome & usually has some degus needing homes.
