The annoying thing is that I can't really eat any fruit. It really throws my digestive system, and complicates other health issues! There used to be an orange grove across the road about ten years ago, but it's been bulldozed and built on

Wow that grove must have smelled amazing!
Have you tried slow cold pressed fruit juice? Apparently there's only a certain percentage of fruit that is soluble and the "waste" is what can caused health and digestive issues as the body tries to break it down and pass it. Slow cold press is purely the soluble part of the fruit with all the good stuff.
I was using blenders and making smoothies but blades and the heat generated supposedly destroys the nutrients and then you're just drinking the insoluble stuff.

No, but I do let friends stay there.
The spare room has a Filipino who keeps it tidy and feeds fat cat, so can't do it as a holiday let at the moment.

I've got this going on at the mo Was the only thing that stopped them screaming!! They're doing the same old butt dancing like there's no bars there. Teeth chittering and grinding and now and again try to nip each other tails. Same old stuff really. I'm a lot more relaxed knowing the barriers there though and don't think they're ready (nor me) to be inside together just yet. I think I'll keep doing this until they start making happy sounds.

Haha it actually looks like they're both looking at you!
Tibbs: She's taking photos of us again!
Garf: Yeah, and she expects to post on that blooming forum about how awkward we are!
Tibbs: *sigh* you mean we can't have a good play session again? PITB! OK, are you ready then?
Garf: Yeah......s'pose we better oblige. *stamp* *teeth chatter*
Tibbs: *Tail wagging* Hey, Garfy, not wagging? Tail still a bit sore?
Garf: Nah, but if she thinks that, I should get an extra treat later. I'll split it with you when she's not looking.
Tibbs: Cheers bud, appreciate it. Wish she'd go downstairs so we can stop shouting. I'm getting a sore throat!
Garf: Yeah, tell me about it. My Achilles is killing me with all this stamping.............

You are kinda encouraging Tibbs there to play with Garfy through the bars, then telling him off - he's a confused little boy!

No Garf is encouraging him! I'm Defo discouraging but the 'confusion' is great progress, he never use to bat and eyelid at me telling him no before and they'd both be going at it hammer n tongs. They're actually respecting me 😂

They were out together last night and I managed to stifle the tension that usually builds between them by telling them no. They ended up doing their own thing! They're getting on well fingers crossed it stays this way! I am thinking of removing the divider and allowing them just in that one level together; with me at the gate wearing motorcycle gloves just incase it kicks off. I really want to get them use to being in a cage together if there's any chance of them ever living together - I've got to bite the bullet.

Sounds like good progress and reassuring for you if they now take notice of you saying 'no' I tend to think that a meet in part of a cage could be a good idea for them.
