Hello everyone Well I picked Bubble and Squeak up on Saturday from the RSPCA and they are settling in very well. They were a bit nervous at first but very sweet to watch. When we first put them in their new cage they didn’t know what to do so we just left them alone for a couple of hours to get used to the cage. They had there first sand bath last night and how sweet they looked!! They seam very happy. They have got lots of things to play with and climb on and yesterday when i went to give them some fresh food Bubble had a little sit on my hand. Yay!!!! They have had some dried carrot and some redigrass which they liked (well they ate it all) and tonight i will give them some broccoli. I am also going to order a John Hopewell wheel for them today and i have some "Degu safe" toys and chew bits coming for them from C2H. I will be posting some pics tonight so watch this space!! Zoe x

They must be feeling settled for Bubble to take the time to sit on your hand even briefly. They will be so much more happy at home with you. Glad for all three of you.

Hello Zoe.
I think your degus are going to be VERY spoilt from the sound of things!! Just like Ra says, you should be very proud that Bubble sat on your hand so early on! Dont get upset if they get a little more timid for a few days, I would think that anything new right now could unsettle them, but it sounds like you are doing everything right, and from the pics they look like lovely degus!!! enjoy them!!!
