Hi Degumagic, They are great fun still ;D I was thinking of adding to the gang as I've found a pet shop near me that sells them and one is all on it's own i feel really sorry for it as it looks so depressed. But knowing my luck it'll turn out to be male and I'll end up with the same problem you had lol Willow had her teeth trimmed yesterday at the vets, apart from that their all great. Still getting in to mischief Have you visited the guys you gave to that animal centre /park, I wonder how their getting on.

Is willow another degu that needs regular teeth trimmings? If so, visit an aquarium, pet shop or similar and buy some Bog Wood. It is meant for tanks as it is very heavy and sinks, looking rather pretty with gnarled parts to it. But if you get some, soak it in boiling water for a few hours, and then put it in the degu cage, they will love to chew on it, happily keeping their teeth down!

Hi ya Girly ;D
Thanks so much for reply Glad to hear the girls are doing ok
Not been back yet to see the boys at Avon valley, no time as we've just moved up to Wiltshire and only just got the pc set up. If i see another packing box it will drive me mad.
Well done for getting Willows teeth cut, I have bog wood in my cage and dried branches from my old plum tree which seems to do the trick ( did see once not to give them plum tree but they have had it for over a year and it hasn't killed them so left it in)
Take care hun DEGU'S RULE X

They've got a big wooden house, a wood & min lick block, apple tree branches, willow sticks and they have just started on the cardboard tubes you gave me. And as that lots not working, I give up! She's must have funny genes or something.
They have recently taken to destroying the large cardboard tube that they sleep in. They've eaten along the bottom in an 'S' shape but left just enough for them all to squeeze into the remaining end bit.
I think their getting bored thats why they've started on the tube. So I'm gonna re-design the layout tonight. That'll keep them occupied for a little while and to be really cruel I'll turn that tube upside down so they'll have to start again ;D
It's been a real team effort destroying it. They seem to almost work in paired shifts. Fascinating to watch.

Sounds like their having a great time. Been keeping close eye on my ones teeth now as it might run in the family, shame we don't no their history.
Mine do the same to the tubes, have good stock of them from my partners work thank god. If you need new ones, fabric or carpet shops will have them .
