Hi all, Watson and Crick are both like Edward Scissorhands! ! I read the threads about stone and terracotta. I've got one of those cages with 3 floors made of wire. I read all about bumblefoot so put in two very large ceramic tiles shiny side up. No bumblefoot and easy to clean. I've now decided to turn them rough side up (no sharp edges) to see if that files their little sharp claws. I'll keep you posted. TBH, I'm surprised they haven't cut each other with all their boxing and squabbling. I love them so much. They are so funny.

Welcome to the forum, redagnesifc Great that you are dealing with the wire floors. Turning the ceramic rough side up should help with their sharp claws. Please do keep us posted.

Welcome I think the rough side up should help a bit. If you mean the cage I think you mean then it is a bit small by itself for two degus and this might be contributing to their squabbling. Are you in a position to consider increasing their cage size? You should be able to connect in a second identical cage side by side to make a nice home for them.
