LOL! I was mistaking the butt of the one as belonging to the face of the other and thinking WOW!! That's a long body!! Then I saw the edge of the ear and realized there are two in there. That little face sure looks happy!

Wow, they look blissful I take it the one on the right in the 2nd pic has her ears right back? She looks like a super fat, contented mole lol!!

randomname I feel very lucky to have them. The ad for them had been up for quite a while, and wasn't asking much for them, so I thought there wasn't much chance of getting them. I gave it a try anyway and here they are. moletteuk When chins are tired or fully asleep, their ears droop down. Before I took the photo, they were both squashed together, but Fluff heard me opening the cage door and woke up. Luckily, Floss was in a deep, contented little sleep.

If you see any around the North East in your internet travels, let me know? (Not that I'm looking!) That last pic is great - poor Dave never got to get a friend, so I never saw the interaction but I know 100% that a friend is everything to them. That's when you see the real chin (or goo, or rabbit) not the human influenced behaviour. They both look so happy together in their wonderful home - that's when you know you've done it right. They must feel very safe & secure to sleep outside of a hut like that. Lovely pictures.

Those 3!! they're beautiful, & so young. Dunno if I want to pay £180, considering they're probably not neutered or vet checked. Don't think my cage big enough for 3 either. The duo seems more realistic. Never used gumtree before, do I just contact the seller through the mobile number skardsen ? Would a text be ok? Knew I shouldn't have looked - made me cry so many unwanted family members, makes me wonder why people bother in the first place. There are 2 beautiful female degus offered free to good home near me. Tiny cage. Maybe someone on here could take them? (Not to mention hundreds of unwanted cats, really bothers me to see that when my neighbour's cat is pregnant for the 20th time. But hey, ho "it's natures way" to let them get pregnant 3 times a year for 12 years... )

randomname You can either text them or send them a email via the site. I always do both, but I keep the messages neutral so they don't know I'm using both means. I do this because they usually only respond to one or the other, but not both. When I got the chins, I got no response at all to sending a text, but a quick reply when I emailed.

doesn't seem to be an email, only a mobile, for the duo. I'll send a quick text, see if I get a reply

Yeah, when you put an ad up, you can choose to be contacted by text, email or both.
I think Preloved also has some chins locally. It's the same kind of site, but to reply to an ad there you have to make an account (it's free).

At that price you're pretty much just buying the cage and getting the chins for free. Really hope it works out for you.
If you don't get a reply in a timely manner, don't take it to heart and just ask them after a day or two. Some people can be really flaky about responding, as they'll be wanting to make sure you're not a time waster. If they still have them, they'll take you seriously.
