Hi guys. Welcome to the forums, hope you find them as useful as I do. Just a point on the adventura cages (I have 2 built in to one cage), just take your time and make sure you have the pieces in the correct places before securing together. I found it easier to build and live the three sections individually rather than securing the two large sections and trying to move them on to the base together. Also the cage back can look very similar to the roof, and the ends are identical apart from the holes drilled for the shelves to be fixed to do make sure you have the correct one at the correct side. Other than that it's a doddle.
I use metal cable ties, they're fairly cheap, just to stop the cage moving about as I don't thing the base is very secure and I would hate my little goobers to fall to the floor as I'm moving their cage.

Thankyou I wish I had seen this earlier now LoL. i did get very confused for about 10mins as to why the back of the first level was way to big until I had finally realised it was the roof 😂. I also did have to take the sides AND the shelf off of the first level as I had them the wrong way, as you can already tell I am most definitely not a DIY kind of person hahaa. but after about an hour and a half I finally got it together and had the hole thing decked out in lots of degu fun things. so far they seem to be absolutely loving it!!!!

WONDERFUL!! Don't slam your DIY skills. I've heard from some that it took them hours and into the next day. Seems to me you did pretty good!

I am quite proud of myself, I did all on my own, I'm too stubborn to get help, I had my boyfriend just sitting there watching to otherwise arguments would break out between us!! ash and stripe literally settled in straight away! They love it and I haven't heard a single squeak this morning apart from happy chirping!

Glad to hear your little guys like the cage. Don't be too harsh on you DIY skills, I took a few goes to build mine the first time round making the mistakes I pointed out myself. It's the best way to learn.

jojojojovi it's worth asking a local carpet shop as they usually have the huge cardboard tubes that the carpet comes on lying around and usually are happy to give them away. The best thing is that you can use a saw to cut them to whatever size you want - I use them in my cage and to transfer them around (if they won't come to me)

I find a good Stanley knife with a strong blade works better than a saw, cleaner edges and means you can cut holes in the sides of the tubes too. Wilkinson's sell a great locking knife with 11 blades which a really sharp and strong for £10. Well worth the money.
