As you all may know by now, I desperately want to expand the space my goos have. One set are going to have two thicket cages joined together with extra floors added but I'm still looking for another cage suitable for the other group. Can't decide whether to have the girls in the double thicket or the new one.
I've been having a look and have found a few which are in my price range but don't know if they would be ok? I have a space available of approximately 3.5ft long and 2ft depth with probably about 4ft high, though going that high would mean the cage would probably be touching the ceiling!
Obviously I'm aware some of them will need some DIY, adding more floors, covering mesh floors etc.
Ones I've been looking at are:
Liberta Tower Chinchilla Rodent Ferret Large Cage House 142 x 60 x 94 cm Lazy bones 3 tier cage Tower Rodent Rat Chinchilla Cage Ferplast Furet Tower Aventura Liberta Pioneer Metal Rockford Double Rat Ferret Chinchilla Flight Cage
I would absolutely love the Savic royal suite but unless I can get it for more or less half it's price it's unfortunately a no go.

What us your budget for a cage? Of those that you have listed, Liberta Tower has the best dimensions, but access to the inside is limited. The Liberta Explorer 2 is a great size and allows for excellent access to the interior. However instead of 127 pounds, it is 160 pounds on sale. That is a fair bit more than the other, I realize, and understand it is possibly beyond your reach. Have you looked at it?
The Lazy Bones 3 tier is smallish, but if you could connect two together, that would actually work out to a fair amount of space!! That could take a lot of DIY and creativity though . . . so might not be something you want to delve into. OR it could be an exciting project for you. Depends on what you feel up for. I just went to look back at the lazy bones cage, and this time found a taller one by the same name. It is still too narrow/depth, and I still think it would be better to have two of them . . . but I didn't see a price with this listing and so don't know if that is a doable suggestion.

I was thinking about 2 lazy bones joined together but at the price of 2 plus all the work I would have to put into it it would probably be better just to get the liberta explorer 2 which I have looked and and it looks amazing but is a bit over what I want to spend. Ideally I don't really want to spend more than around £100 but will stretch a bit further since you can't really get anything good for that much unless its second hand which is difficult to get here. Trying to figure out if I can spend an extra £60 on the explorer 2 or find something else that will work but cheaper

Feffie, keep an eye open, and have a look for discount vouchers online for the sellers. I have an Explorer, and managed to get it for around £130 delivered, by doing this.

Our girls live in lazy bones cages and they were really easy to work with. We joined them all together with waste pipe and everyone seems happy with the arrangement. We picked ours up relatively cheaply second hand so they are an ideal solution if you are on a tight budget.

I've had a look around for vouchers for the explorer but can't seem to find any, I have fallen in love with this cage but unless I can find it cheaper and actually in stock I'm going to have to go with something else :/

Most of the cages you mention don't maximise the space you have, and many of them are too far below 100cm long, but not short enough to put two side by side, so I would reject many of them on that basis. You've just missed some black friday deals, Aventura was £120 last weekend, if you can hang on you might get it for that after xmas. Tower cage can often be found for £100. Here's a Tower for £90 on ebay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Liberta-Tower-Chinchilla-Rodent-Ferret-Large-Cage-House-142-x-60-x-94-cm-/141688878043 Main disadvantages are small doors and need to replace base and provide all shelves.

The Aventura is a brilliant cage. It's a bugger to put together as the instructions look like a 3 year old scribbled all over the page with a crayon but so worth it once it is built.
