Does anyone know where to buy a quiet wheel? We are on our second wheel and we have recently bought the silent spinner one but it is still very noisy. We have a metal cage and I think that the Degu (Gandalf and Merlin!) don't run straight on it and it always seems to bang. We can't hear the TV at night so I am afraid I have to pop them in the kitchen out the way (poor things). Any suggestions would be great!!! ;D

i have a silent spinner that is attached to the side of the cage (rather than sitting on the stand that comes with it). i had to make sure there was plenty of room on the sides of the wheel or the joints would bump the wires. i can still hear the "fap fap fap" of degu feet on it but it's not as noisy as it was before. although, they've started chewing it, much to my chagrin. >/ but the silent spinner is the quietest wheel i know of...

I made my wheel more silent by fitting it onto a bolt, adding plastic washers and a nut to hold it on. It got more quiet, but the end of the bolt sticks out quite a way. Lucky the wheel is on the side away from the wall!
