Looks awesome Do you think the ventilation is going to be OK with the cage fitting so tightly in the recess? Have you thought about cutting a bit slot in the front baseboard and putting a big mesh insert in there?

The recess isn't as tight as it looks on photos as there are pipes running down the front which are enclosed in hardboard/wallpaper. Behind that there is a good 5-10cm for air to circulate, as well as the mesh top. I'm going to look into getting a fan if needs be which I can have next to the cage to get the air to circulate if it is too still. The cage is coming along nicely, just need to install the lights and doors. The lights should be waiting for me when I get home tonight and I'm picking the glass up tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully I'll be able to post pictures tomorrow night Can't wait to go and get them, only 11 sleeps!

I used vinyl I got off eBay. It was self adhesive so really easy to do. I'm getting them a week on Friday. I'm going to a lady who rescues that is based in Nottingham. The ones I was originally going to take aren't growing as well as expected so they need to stay with mum, so when I get there I have to choose some to bring home. I'm taking my sister with me in the hope she exercises control and restricts me to 3 only! I'm going to have the rest of the week off and give my bank account time to recover before I start shopping for all their kit

Thanks I'm going to use wood shavings for now to line the shelves etc and paper bedding for the nests. I'm going to give them access to a box of paper/card etc that they can choose their own bedding too

Did you get glass sliding doors for each shelf to open or did you have 2 big pieces?

I have 2 glass doors for each level, they are on double runners so either side can slide across.

After 6 months of being lived in I've done some tidying up and slight modifications to the girl's cage. Mainly I've increased the depth of the shelf edging to try and stop as much mess falling out when the doors open! After 5.5 hours work the cage has been cleaned, shelves refitted and refilled. The girls are checking everything out and I can't wait to see where they make their nest - I've put all their bedding all over the cage so they can do some natural nest building!
