I would definately try to find more information about that.... I would think, myself, that it wouldn't be good - that even though a child's dosage is smaller then regular vitamins as they don't need as much because of their size and all that, that the same would apply since the degus are way smaller then children... I could be wrong though. One thing I've read though many times is that degus commonly live a longer and healthier life with vitamin C suppliments (or feeding foods with high vit C). I haven't given my guys any vit C suppliments, but one of their treats that I give them occasionally is high in vit C (dried rose hips from the pet store). You can get vit C suppliments for quinea pigs as they need it, and it would probably work for degus too! ^_^
Hope this was helpful! ^-^

Aimeelou - at the most I usually give one too each of them a day, sometimes less as it's not one of their most favourite treats so thus they won't always take them when I offer them to them. We have Kaytee brand ones and they suggest putting them on top of their regular food, but one each is usually enough for them as sometimes they leave them half eaten. They are starting to like them more though as they've been taking and eating them more lately

Also, Lee (my bf) just mentioned to me as he read this now, that children's vitamins wouldn't be good because of the sugar they put in them to get kids to eat them!
