I thought this would be fun, considering they're such smart, silly little creatures full of interesting habits and creativity!
Taisuke and Mario's philosophy #1: Well, thank goodness our guys aren't big plastic chewers, for them, there is always a good (well, maybe not always GOOd) reason to do it. "If it's broken, chewing it might/will fix it"
They're old wheel was super noisy, so sometimes I would take it down on them, particularly at night. What would they do, start chewing it (well, it just might fix it!). One of these nights they chewed the part that held the wheel to the pole so now it always slides off, so they don't have it anymore. Lee (my bf) plans to replace the part with metal when he has the time at the shop (he's a machinest). In the meantime (lately he's been wanting to just buy a new one instead), we've been trying to hunt down the Silent Spinner, but everywhere only has the hamster sized ones, argh! We're looking into prices online now for it. Anyhow, that's one of our boy's "philosophies" and a story to go with it!
Hope you enjoy! ^^

Taquila, Taco and baby girls philosophy #1 " It will move in a minute. Ill show you, look it nearly moved then..."
When i first bought their wheel, it had a steel rod in front conecting it, but when we had our first litter, i was scared the babys would trap them selves in between it, so i snapped it off. But now the bars missing, to many degus trying to ride it makes it come of its hinges. So they just sit inside it waiting for it to move. Oh and again, chewing and attacking it might make it move too.....

"i know we chewed through the last cage, these bars have to give way sometime." that's mostly rumble, but frenzy will sometimes follow suit.

hmm. With four degus of different ages, there are a lot of philosophies going round, but the one that always gets me laughing is when they get there individual treats of a peanut curnal each-
"wow, mine looks great, but yours looks greater! I want yours!"
Amazingly, it is Dougal that makes the most noise when this happens, and he is by far the smallest!

Or if you are gromit, the philosophy is "I cant use it, I CAN chew it!"

Mine have a new phiosophy:
"This food bowl is full of the boring stuff, kick it all out on the floor and someone will come and bring us some new stuff!"
Trouble is, it always works!
