Ok long story about putting Goos together that I will gladly go in to later.
Upshot is despite taking things really slow we had a massive fight tonight that has resulted in Mucho being badly beaten. I've separated them again and he is in his own cage. He's drinking water but not eating. I've cleaned the wound in his neck but he won't let me near his paw. I can't get him to the vet until tomorrow morning. ( It's 11pm here) I've given him lots of bedding and I think he's comfortable but I'm really worried he may be in shock. Can I do anything else for him tonight?

How was the night? In such a case, firstly I would take out the sand bath and then offer some hot water bottle or any other warm thing to keep him warm if he wants to. It is important that it is not too hot and that he can chose if he wants to use it or not.
Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. I did take the sandbath out. Mucho is perkier today using both his front paws and eating a little millet. He's moving about his cage better though is still sleeping a lot

How is he doing now? Did you choose to go to the Vet?

My regular vet wasn't in on sat so I spoke to the vet on call and he suggested to keep it clean and just keep him warm and quiet.
He's been improving since and I can't see any sign of infection. He was climbing about his cage today. I got a better look at his paw today for the first time and it looks like he is missing part of one of his fingers or perhaps the long claw it's hard to tell. He's still using the paw though and eating for Scotland today!
