I know that eye problems can be caused by sand or teeth problems. He does get matted, but this has always been the case. Any advice on how to treat him? Might not be able to get to the vet. The branch has shut down and I don't know where Johanna Storm now works. She used to see our chins but I daren't trust most vets. Could I use the eye drops prescribed for my dog on him. Btw, it's only one eye but quite gunky. It dries on really quickly too and the eye is open.

OH MY GOD! JUST FOUND A TOOTH THAT WAS SO OVERGROWN IT WENT ROUND IN A SEMI-CIRCLE! IT WAS REALLY HARD TO TELL BECAUSE HE'S BEEN THE MOST PLODDY CHIN ALL THE TIME I HAD HIM, EVEN WHEN THE VET SAID HIS TEETH WERE PERFECT! I FEEL SO UPSET WITH MYSELF! I'VE LOST 2 OUT OF 13 ( 2 DEAD, ONE GOING TO DIE/BE PUT DOWN AND THE REST EITHER STILL LIVING HERE OR AT NEW HOMES). I DON'T THINK THERE'S ANY POINT TRYING TO SAVE HIM! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Managed to hunt down the vet we used to go to. She was off sick today, will probably be off sick tomorrow but will book him in for Wednesday - would have preferred sooner.

Did some research before the visit. Once the roots grow into the eye socket, which seemed to be the case, there's nothing that can be done in the long run.
