I've discovered that for drying out thinly sliced veg in the oven, cooker liners on the baking sheet really help, stops the thin pieces welding themselves irretrievably to the tray. They are a sort of woven plasticy fabric PTFE coated, same stuff as toastabags, if that helps, you can get them from Aldi, Lakeland or on ebay

My parents use baking sheets all the time - I've never got on with them for most things, but yes they may work for drying stuff as the small bits always stick and make loads of mess. Thanks for the suggestion
