Some of you might have already read this on the other thread, but I thought I'd make a new post about it, as I have some questions. Brief summary: I'm getting 4 female, 8 week old blue goos on sunday!! So... Questions: 1) What should I put in their travel box to keep them entertained on the car journey home? It will take about 1 and a half hours, maybe more - depending on traffic. 2) How much food should I give them per day? (For 4 goos) I know a lot of people say different amounts, so I'm just wondering what you guys think. 3) What do you recommend for treats to give them, which I can tame them with? And yes, I know - I will be patient, don't worry - It's just that I'm doing another mini degu shopping trip tomorrow/saturday, so I'd like to know so that I can buy it in advance. And if there's anything else that anyone thinks would help, any advice would be greatly received. I'd like to make their first couple of days at home, as nice for them as possible - so if anyone has any stories of what they did, that would be great. Thank you!!

For 1, I'd say plenty of wood and chewables
2, I heard the same as Lrak but aa lot of people also just top the bowls up once it's empty if they're fed pellet feeds.
3 ours tend to enjoy dandelion, rice or wheat puffs for taming

Yeahh, that's what I've read as well, so I'm guessing around 10 grams each. Does anyone else have any different answers, or ideas for what to give them in their travel box tomorrow? Thank you

1. The main question is is the carrier secure?! Just put some bedding, food, and something to chew in there. 2. For four 8 week olds around 30 to 35g should be enough, but you need to have a think in advance about whether you want to weigh out the food, or just top up as necessary, depending on the type of food. 3. There's loads of info around the forum on this, herb mixes and seeds are the short answer
