Hello again! It just occurred to me I haven’t posted here yet, even though I HAVE posted a few other places I’m Lizzie! As you can probably tell. I’m 22, live in Hampshire (UK), full time IT tech – and proud degu-mumma of one. Liberated Monster from pets at home on the 30th of September, he looked horribly depressed, all alone, in a tiny viv, and had been there for over a month all alone! He had been in a fight with the other goo’s, and has little bald spots of fur and is missing bits of one ear. Planning to hand train him with me and the other half, and then looking into getting him a buddy. Went to pets at home with no intention of getting a pet, but after asking about the lonely Degu and deciding we’d take some time to decide, I burst into tears on the drive home thinking of him being all alone. Heart over Head and we turned right around! He was called Loki to start with, but he’s such a trouble maker, Monster was his nickname that stuck! (e.g, chewing through two pets at home boxes before we’d left the shop, he sat in his cage being nosey for the drive home!!) And here’s some pictures, one of monster the bath eating and getting a nervous stroke from me Thank you all for being very nice to me I like it here!!

After reading the posts on here about P@H I don't trust them near my Monster! Not even in name! He seems a lot happier now, even by himself he seems more merry than he was in the viv

He was 'sat' like that for ages and ages, I thought maybe the crack you can see between the door and the wood was letting fresh air in, maybe he was too hot or something - but he wasn't impressed!

That's the real reason! It did make me laugh when some little children walked passed him and started shouting squirrel! squirrel! ;D

Welcome to the forum, Lizziexo!! You've been so thoroughly "officially" welcomed, it's rather old news for me to throw in my bit, but I'll put it in anyway. ANOTHER offical welcome extended to you. Monster sounds like quite a character! I am certain he is much happier and growing healthier by the day now that he is home with you and your OH. He looks better too, I have to say! He really looks depressed in that picture of him in the shop.
