Just to echo what has said as I too have only just caught this thread. Firstly welcome! We were sold a Thicketts cage for our three and weren't aware of the size issue until they turned horrible to live with 5 months later and stumbled on this forum looking for advice. Happily now we have (back) a wonderful relationship with our little beasts and they bring us a lot of happiness. I'm really pleased to here you got a result and managed to stand up to them, it galls me the amount of money we spent and then spent again to get our girls homed correctly, whilst I don't regret giving them what they need, the willing neglect in order to get a sale is horrifying really. You'll find that no two BGoos are alike and you'll find yourself checking in frequently for advice and there are loads of gret people on here who care so very passionately about their animals who are willing to help!

I made a custom cage and it's over 6 foot, so I'm sure it would be fine for you. One thing I will say though, is that with mine, it is quite hard to access the top level How wide are you thinking? I would recommend at least a metre wide, because it gives them lots of running space

Ours were like that - we had one friendly one and the rest followed suit. I wouldn't worry about it being 6 foot - ours on the cupboard is two meters high. The key is to make sure they have plenty of levels internally they can run on. As mentioned 100cm wide is a good start, due to space ours is 95cm x 60cm and 160cm tall which gives us four complete large levels - we could have actually gone for five. The only problem with a taller cage your own access to it. My partner can't get to the top shelf really.

We have an Ikea wooden stool in front of our cage that the goos use to climb in and out and that I can stand on to reach the top level
