Depending on where you are in the world, you have a few weeks left to collect plants from the hedgerows, parks, riverbanks, fields, gardens, woodland and so on to help feed your degus important digestible fibre over the winter. I'm in the far north of England and this weekend managed to collect meadowsweet, ground elder, dandelion, hogweed, cow parsley, nettles, dock leaves (fresh growth), raspberry and bramble leaves, clover, alder twigs and willow twigs and probably other stuff I can't remember. Grab your leather gloves, secateurs or scissors, bags and ID books and get out there!

I need more storage jars. My mum has offered to come and stay for the next couple of days so we can do some work in the garden, it's actually more a bit of waste land covered in goooodies at the moment. The fences are all over grown with blackberries, the ground is covered with nettles and danelions and a load of other weed like things that I can't identify. This is how it looked a couple of weeks back The main bit has been strimmed a little now. But wow are we gonna have some fun prunning this lot

Did you try them with the dock seed heads, Dusty - rusty coloured small seed sprays in first pic?
Did you get much different to me, Lrak?
I just store mine in paper bags or cardboard boxes, or currently on a big sheet of card on the kitchen floor while I dry it!
