Hello, my name is Karl and i have 2 female degu's, one little grey one (mischief) and a little brown one (indiana). I'm new to keeping, about 2/3 weeks now, and was looking around for more infomation (the book i got was only small) and found ths site. I got my two little girls as i had been looking at them for some time and went to the local pets at home, needed food for my menagerie, and found them for adoption, well i just had to get them as they had been up for a week. So now i am looking to expand my knowledge and meet like minded people. Boring bit now about me I'm 29, from the south coast of england, and have kept animals all my life (inc chinchilla's afew years back) all i have at the moment is have are 1 border collie, 1 collie X german shepherd (looks like a dingo) 1 cat, 1 bearded dragon, 8 praying manties and 2 horse's, just lost my tokay gecko a few weeks ago Looking forwards to learning more Karl

Hello Karl, welcome to the forum! Congrats on becoming a Dad to two Goos. You'll learn a lot here, all of us here are happy to answer any questions you have - so you need only post. You have a lot of animals! I'm jealous, unfortunately I am very restricted with what I can have and where I can have them as I share a home with a grumpy father ...!! (and my mother, of course) I'm sorry to hear about your tokay gecko. I recently lost one of my Degus so know how you feel.

Hi Lrak/Karl. Just want to welcome you as well. Quite an interesting menagerie you have. I have a "menagerie" too though most of mine is made up of degus, and certainly none as exotic as praying mantises and a bearded dragon. Cool. (I had a brown anole once. ) I am sure you'll meet plenty of like-minded people on this forum. I've been on it a year now and it has been a very valuable source of support.

Hello, Lrak, and welcome to the forum!! It is lovely to meet you and to have your two degus introduced as well. This is a fab place to meet people and to learn about degus! It was a life line for me when we first got degus. They were SO different from the hamsters I knew from growing up, and BOY did I need help. LOL! I hope you will enjoy the forum!!
