The first two have cane molassas in them, so a no to them. The last one, well . . . it looks great, but the only thing I am not certain of in there is the cinnamon. Cinnamon is excellent for helping to control blood sugars, I'm just not sure how the degus will react to it, or if it is something they are OK to eat.

Does any body else have any ideas on the cinnamon? That was the one thing I wasn't certain on. I bought that bag.. But I didn't buy the ones with molasses because I figured it's be a no go for that reason. I also bought "millet bites" they sell them for small birds, by the same company as the bag with the cinnamon. It's just pure millet..but separated into bite sized pieces.. they're a little bit bigger than the size of a pea. Can I give them one of these a day each? Or is that too much

Mine have a couple of millet balls a day each. It's the only thing to keep them occupied if we need to re-arrange their stuff! Don't think it does any harm. Sorry I have no idea about cinamon

I just did a search on the german sites, Davx is recommending against it in 2007, but there is nothing more recent. We'll have to ask him for an up to date view.
