All the plants and flowers look like ones you can feed unlimited. Your girls are used to forage so I don't think you even need to try anything gradually really. The roots should be fairly small pieces at a time. And the seeds are a max of 1tsp per degu per day. I would keep the forage in separate bags while you try each one so you can work out which they like so you know what to buy again. But after that you can mix all the leaf ones together, and mix all the flower ones together, but keep the leaves separate from the flowers. thank you I've gave them half an hand full of most of The flower mixes and nettle and birch one and the degu something, and marigold things and they rolled their nose at corn flower but they stick into the seeds , just hope I don't upset their bellys, they've been having dandelion, green oat, ribwort, herbal garden but ran out , so I've gave them most of the list I got today in post

Sorry DL, I was having a day off yesterday for my birthday. All those forages are great Once you know which ones they aren't keen on, make a note of those so you don't buy it again, and after that you can mix them in a big tub if that would make it easier? Maybe keep a couple of the expensive ones separate for treats and keep the flowers separate or mix them in their own tub. But you can't really go wrong now you have lots of different forages and they are used to it, it won't upset their tummies or anything like that. If you ever buy fat balls for the birds in plastic tubs, they come in good buckets with lids and a handle, wash them out and they are good for storing degu forage.

Mine love the little beetroot coloured nuggets in the exquisite mix, think they'd follow me through the gates of hell if I was carrying a couple of those, lol. I can get them to do anything for a beetroot coloured bickie.

Don't hold it too tight It doesn't hurt too much though, just don't drop any on the floor or accidentally spill the powdery bit at the end or you'll be forever picking needles out your feet!

I wonder if they are the same beetroot biscuits as in one of the JRF mixes which is also the same as one of the Rosewood bags, my lot go nuts for those!
Mine weren't keen on milk thistle, I would put it in a bowl or something to keep it off the floor so they don't stand on it. If you have soft hands you could try kitchen tongs to get it out of the bag? I have rather 'well used' hands so I would always think it'll be fine getting it out of the bag, totally fine... ouch, ouch, ouch! lol!

Try giving them one each as a treat when you're feeding them. That way they both get one.

For those in the UK, The Range has a 3 for 2 deal on the Burgess forage mix bags, I cleared out my local store of them today. They are £2.19 a bag. Not sure if they are already listed in this mahoosive thread so I'll list the ingredients just in case:
Burgess country garden herbs: dandelion, mint, chicory, plantain, milk thistle, marigold, cornflower and Jerusalem artichoke.
Burgess mountain meadow herbs: dandelion, chamomile, coltsfoot leaf, milk thistle, parsley, sage, hibiscus, fennel seeds, rose petals and sunflower petals.

I probably wouldn't recommend the wild seed thistle flower one because it is probably high in (natural) sugars from the vegetable content, likewise the chinchilla special has quite a lot of rosehip in which would make it only suitable for limited use. To get you started with forage from Zooplus I would recommend the ribwort, dandelion, green oat, and garden herbs (get double of this one) on this page: www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/snacks_supplements/natural_plant_snacksAlso get some dandelion roots.
