I'm currently complaining about the flying disc that's already ruined after 2 weeks of use, they've however stopped replying. I'll do my best x

moletteuk yes they do and I picked all non-chopped things. Every single thing came chopped. 😳 Might be worth having a chat with them! If it's any consolation, Scaredy loves his ground nut and flax mix. If the others get there before he's done, it's gone like a Dyson vacuum on turbo! it's the only thing any of them will touch that's powdery. What amuses me with goos and nuts is coming across the empty shells - seriously, how do they manage to extract all of the nut through such tiny holes???

I've wondered this bouncy 😂maybe they stick their little arms in there and scratch the nut into pieces then shake it out 😕?

Tibbs is tucking into a selection of the mixes today. So far I can only see him liking the chopped spinach, dandelion roots and leaves and any carrot or pea flake left in one of the mixes They seem to be ignoring all flowers or flower leaves or tree leaves grrrrr

I was just thinking Michelin star too! Heston Blumenthal eat your heart out!
Flowers are a funny thing. There's only two or three that mine will eat. They absolutely abhor roses!

LOL 😂 I've had to do it like that so I can see which one he likes 😂

Well when I put a dried out rose stem up there, Tibbs devoured all the leaves! He seems to prefer things fresh or freshly dried and not in a packet. Considering this boy came from a farm eating straw, he's got some high standards!!!

LOL!! You're going to have to pull off some serious wonders to having him award a second star, it seems.

A peanut butter and oatmeal compote on a bed of crushed pea flake, drizzled with a cherry tomato jus and garnished with fresh dandelion and mint leaves 👌

😂😂😂 it had me thinking, what sweet things are they actually allowed? I mean is there anything sweet that doesn't contain sugar?? Is sugar the key to all sweetness

What a philosophical standpoint lol : "is sugar the key to all sweetness?" 🤔 don't remind me I'm on my way to university after a month. Oh how I don't miss this travelling, especially in the rain 👍🏻👍🏻

The only natural sweet thing I know of where the sweetness does not come from sugar is stevia, and I can't find information on whether that is safe for degus. There are a few different types of sugar, and it is thought that sugar in it's natural form in veg or fruit is less difficult for degus to process than processed sugars like table sugar or syrup.
The only sweet things I have fed are the very occasional small piece of rosehip or hawthorn berry, or I have occasionally resorted to a tiny bit of locust bean to disguise some medication. Hips and haws have good vitamin content and locust bean is high in calcium, so at least there is something positive about them. Generally my degus don't seem to have a sweet tooth, I've offered them apple and raisin to sniff for scientific purposes and they weren't interested.

Hi!
I've just had a RR delivery. I bought Hugro Degu Exquisite.. I'm slowly picking the carrot out lol and putting it in my treat box. But should I pick out anything else? Are the purple biscuits the Jerusalem artichoke pellets? Or are they the beetroot pads? Also says there's Rowan berries in it. What the heck do they look like and shall I remove those too?

Just had a look, and I think I would perhaps take out the beetroot(should be the purple/red dried pellets), but I'm not really concerned about the berries, unless you see a lot of them? Really cool looking mixture!
