Hi I was wondering if anyone knows of a degu vet in the Fareham, Hampshire area. One of my gos bottom teeth look way to long and I am worried that they may need trimming. She seems well enough but keeps rubbing at her mouth with her hands and sticking her tongue out as if shes bothered by something. I will take her to the vets, no problem with that but does anyone have any idea of what they will charge me so I am prepared...kiz

My in laws come from Hampshire (Havant), and they've heard that Pratt, Nunn and Partners are very good. They have a couple of practises in the area (Hayling, Waterlooville from memory).
To see the vet will depend, but expect £28-40, plus any medication you might need.
Good luck.

Also recommended on a hamster forum are: Unicorn Vets - Park Surgery 84 Burgess Road Bassett Southampton SO16 7PP
I think it's helpful to ring two or three places and ask if they have much degu experience, how much a consultation is and then try to make the appointment with the vet in the practice who specialises in small animals.
