i woke up this morning and one off my degu's has a closed eye , he's moving around fine, but I need help I can't get to the vet to later today or sat if I can i heard a sneeze, I had didn't see this on wednesday. Slight white goo on corner (not bad just tiny bit)
Edit its still taken food from me. Antoher Edit: Put warm water on with cotton bud, eye is open now, but still looks like its pain it a little. Still taken it to vet though.

Been to vet nowm Glad i went. Vet give cream today as eye is red. Some hay was found on cotten bud maybe that's what caused it. so relifed now

I too am glad that you have had help from your vet, and it looks like the cream given should heal the irritations. I often wonder that degus don't get hay in their eyes more often than they seem to. I mean, they are always in or near it, and running through their substrate or diggind in it etc. Maybe it's those lovely long lashes that keep most of it out??
So glad you had his eye checked out!!

its fine I was all panicked but i'm better now , i'm glad got it looked at. I'm surprised to, that more hay doesn't get into there eyes. The eyes looking better but still a bit irradiated, cause his eye open just not normal open. see how it looks today XD after I put more stuff on
