Hello, I posted the link some days ago, but now I'd like to point it out separately: www.octodons.ch/index.php/HerbsThe list is still under construction, I will add additional infos and plants, but in the current state it is quite complete and usable. The plants are form older books and I checked them with Wikipedia and other modern sources (e.g. the plant list from the kew gardens), if plant names are still valid (in fact there were some changes) and all plants are linked to pages (mostly wikipedia) with additional information and photos. I hope you find this useful and I will inform you here, if there are updates. Eventually I will extend the list with herbs from Europe or Great Britain too, but actually it is too much work and in addition most of the plants mentioned in the list occur also here in Europe (I assume, there are about 80-90% the both continents share together).

I went through and looked at a bunch and most of them I don't think I've ever seen. But I found what I think is a decent spot to collect some plants so as soons as everything starts to grow I'll be off for some flowers/leaves!!

it's near edgemount (opposite nose hill on the other side of shaganappi - just north of john laurie). It's the big hill you see with the houses only on the top when you are heading north on shaganappi. So there is still all the natural flowers and such being a ravine thing and near nose hill but not part of the park so we can remove vegetation.
I dog walked there when I was house /pet sitting in edgemount and it's not too busy with dogs/people. Some traffic but not so bad. I remember thinking it was soooo pretty with all the flowers. I'll still have to look up all the different ones to see if they are goo allowed but hopefully!

Yes for us Europeans the list looks pretty familiar. I don't know how it is in America, but the listed plants are some kind of problematic in fields and cultivated land (thus called weed) and therefore I assume they are common, at least in some regions. On the other side non problematic native plants are neglected, even when they are common.
