Hi, Going to try and get you a picture But i have noticed that Brain has been chewing the bars and it left a little indent in his fur (or so i thought) but after looking closer today the fur on his nose seems to have been rubbed away exactly where it meets the bars when he chews them.
Should i be concerned? Take him to a vet? What should i do?
The skin doesn't look inflamed at the moment, but i'm worried that it will start too soon.
It can't be that he's bored. There are all sorts in the cage for them, loo rolls, tissue, balls, knot ties, chewable shelves, ladders, hammocks, tubes for running through, bells, a coconut shell, a swing and their wheel...
And i'm always giving them extra things to do like the egg boxes, and they come out of their cage every day.

No, not need to take him to the vet. This is a very common location for hairloss for exactly the reason your describe. There are lots of reasons why he is chewing, he wants more out time, he wants more space, he hates that particular bit of wire for some reason, he likes the sound . . . it can be difficult to pin down. But as you know . . . Degus are weird.
