So my two degus have had a very dry skin/coat lately. I've never seen this on the babies at work so I'm not sure what to do.
They have free choice versele-laga chinchilla/degu pro pellets and get degu nature, sunflower seeds (still in training mood so more than they should) and millet as treats.
I have a dust bath in the cage at all time (in a double critter nation) but it is a coarser grain dust that we use at work (I thought it would be easier to clean up and hence easier).
Any tips? I do live in alberta which is VERY dry and don't use a humifier. I'm senstive to mold so I try not to use it.

You could perhaps only let them have the dust bath some of the time as that could be drying out their skin too much...
