A lazy susan is not the ideal bearing to use for a wheel even though some people will say otherwise due to how cheap they are. They are meant for horizontal load and not vertical load. I have a JH wheel but I cannot remember what the back of it looks like I will ask my boyfriend when he gets back seeming as his memory (and knowledge of metalwork) is much better than mine.

Asked and he said it's just a ball bearing. Would look something like this. It's then just welded onto the back with a metal cross welded to that so you can attack it to the cage.
