And last night, Rosie decided she wanted out...and chewed a hole in the bottom of the cage base (it is plastic, but they have never bothered it and have been in a plastic bottom cage for their whole lives). Thank goodness, I found Rosie before my Min Pin did!!!! They are now in a small cage, will have to put them into a cage that is all metal (it is a bird cage, but will work for now) and will be ordering them a new cage! Cheeky and Nibbs have a Martins cage (the sixth one down on this page) www.martinscages.com/products/cages/ferret/I was thinking maybe I might get one off this page, but it won't be quite as tall, as I have to put it up on top of my bunny hutch, due to floor space and I want the girls cages side by side. I am just glad I found Rosie before anything bad happened!

could you not get another base? i had a largish cage, but it also had a plastic base, so i put the cage on top of a metal tray from a thickets cage, and it worked great, i even used another cage, on top of that, as a bed room lol xx

Well, I have metal bottoms, but none of them fit right. I called a friend, she actually had an extra of the 36" h martins cage (which works out perfectly) so I can use that, until I order something else, at least...lol

don't get me wrong, the tray was a lot bigger than the cage, but, it stopped them chewing their way out xx

Hehe, goos are really funny like that. I had a wooden wonderland wheel which they loved, and so did I. For a long time they had no interest in chewing it, then one time they practically destroyed it overnight. They seem to do this with all their toys.

I will have to take a pic of their 'house' (it is made of wood), they apparently wanted an 'open concept' living room......lol They are in the next size down cage that Cheeky and Nibbs have. It works out perfectly, so I can keep them right next to Cheeky and Nibbs, as I do hope someday to get them together.....lol
