My goos' nest box is at the top of their cage, at the bottom of the cage I have put a box of tesco cheap tissues (36p!) They're now all running madly up and down the cage grabbing tissues from the box and making a nest with them at the top! It'll keep them busy for ages ;D
they all have very different techniques, LOL. Billie is carefully taking a tissue, making sure she has it bundled up and is therefore easy to carry and is taking it straight to the nest. Poppy is grabbing a tissue and running with it - catching it on things on the way up and ending up with a small piece by the time she gets to the top, Agatha is trying to steal everyone else's tissues and Nancy is going round collecting up the bits Poppy is leaving behind.

LOL! I did the same thing with my boys tonight. Sammy and Dean just looked at it and then peed on it. Damon was collecting little bits and carefully taking it upstairs and Stefan was grabbing as much tissue as he could (four bits at times) running upstairs and dropping most of it on the way. He looked mental, lol.

That reminds me of the time I made the mistake of leaving a FULL open box of tissue near Luna, my flying squirrel's cage.....next morning, her cage was filled with tissue!!! lol Great idea! I give them paper towels that I put through the cage bars in different places....they love it!!!

I tried it with a toilet roll a few months ago but they just used it to climb on lol I'll have to give the tissue box a go. I put ripped tissue in a hay rack for them and they take that to their nest but not as entertaining as yours!! lol

One sheet of kitchen roll torn into strips keeps our boys busy for ages - Tequila is boss for making a nest, Tabasco tries to help and then Tequila takes it all out and starts again - so funny, but keeps them busy and stimulated. If I give Tequila a whole tissue he tries to run with it and gets all tangled up and can't work out why!
